Bridge and Nancy

Bridge has always been popular with the residents at Juniper Village, but since the addition of volunteer Nancy Smith (daughter of resident Larry Lindars), the game has REALLY taken off.

On any given day at 2:00 PM, one can catch a dynamic game of Bridge in
action; in fact, three games running simultaneously is not an unusual sight! Thanks to Nancy's warm, engaging manner and her many tips on winning strategies, increasing numbers of Juniper residents are discovering the joys and challenges of Bridge.

A Great Reason to Celebrate

The new year brought with it an inaugural feature of life at Juniper Village of Chatham that's guaranteed to become a lasting tradition: Group Birthday Celebrations!

On the second Thursday of each month, residents with birthdays which fall in that month are encouraged to invite guests to join in a celebratory lunch, one capped off with a traditional cake and joyous singing of "Happy Birthday". Best wishes for another glowing year to all our cherished residents who were born in January!

Cooking up a Storm!

Just as the 6th snowstorm in as many weeks hit the tri-state area, Kathy Spadori of Panini Bay Restaurant created her own flurry of delicious delectables in the Juniper Village of Chatham kitchen.  Kathy and sous chef Carol treated a record-setting crowd to a step-by-step demonstration of how to prepare mushroom risotto accompanied by fig-gorgonzola bread crisps. Mmmmmm!

Music To Our Ears!

Our Music Themed Month at Juniper Village is one month that you can literally hear coming.  The Memory makers orchestra really lived up to their name. The Big Band was alive and living in Juniper Residents Hearts.  Families, Resident and guests gathered just before the Holiday season to warm up for Music Month.  The laughter and companionship that is shared during an event such as this is always music to our ears!

Our Wonderful Volunteers

Pictured here are three of Juniper Village's great volunteers. Our first picture is of young Max Perrilo, who is assisting one of our
residents by reading to them. We then have Michael Hosbbein, who is pictured dealing cards for our residents. Michael also teaches the computer to our residents along with playing Wii bowling. Lastly, we have Lauren Spinelli who is our newest volunteer , she is playing poker with our residents. All of our volunteers are the Greatest and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their time and companionship.

Juniper Family Holiday Party

This year our family Holiday party had a Winter Wonderland Theme. The families and residents all had a fabulous time. Additionally, we had The Yuletide Carolers strolling about serenading us while in costume. The food and drinks were plentiful as we celebrate Traditions this Holiday Season!

Food Drive Huge success

This past Thanksgiving season, Juniper Village of Chatham collected a whopping nine hundred pounds of donated food during its annual Food
Drive! Recipients of this generous bounty are the Interfaith Food pantry of Morris County and the Hillside Food Bank. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all participants, folks who seized the true spirit of
the holiday by sharing their gratitude with those in need.
